Moving to sweden? whats it like?

well being born in Sweden and spending most of my life here I must say – there are far better places to live

The winters are mighty cold and the summers rainy and lately almost non-existent.

Growing outdoors is possible at least in the south, but the wheather is tricky and it can rain alot so a strain fitting this climate is to recommend.

Hi there!

Sweden sure has its cons and pros… I would say that if you can “think outside the box” its a pretty good place to live.. If you can’t its pretty dull.
There is a wellcoordinated wellfare infrastructure/system that you can pretty easily cocreate with… And as you said… nice nature.. Though the winters are rather long, dark and cold, as long as you keep yourself “out of the system” and have the natural opportunity to “go inward” during the winters, i say its ok… Or maybe if your lucky enough to be traveling during the dark periods.

Regarding the plantation, its a beautiful idea. Choose a fast strain, or go with the autoflowering ones…. Be sure to grow the lovely one indoors in the spring so she gets a nice headstart when the light returns…
Druglaws are pretty tough, many ignorant people mentally still bunch healing plants like marijuana up together with heroin and amphetamines. But attitudes are also changing, especially with the younger generations..

Stay out of Babylon and enjoy!

yes my girlfriend and i made it together, its my second yurt and her first, its pretty toasty at the moment even tho its around -2 at night outside, must be around 25- 30 c inside! i expect its pretty chilly over there at the moment?

Im currently looking at places around the south west of Sweden am i right in thinking its milder but still fairly wild there?
Jante Law is that for real or an exaggeration, sounds like some backwards parts of england but its not all like that i presume the same there?

so is it a case of not accepting people who stand out a bit, i had heard that Sweden was culturally quite diverse?

Southwest has more rain than souteast, and windier.
Maybe look at Gotland? Nice weather and lots of people live there who are into ecological farming and so on. The big drawback is the island is partly infested by tourists in summer.
Hope you find something nice that will make you enjoy the nice parts of sweden.

I actually live in south sweden and I have been raised here..

There are some places with much forest here ad there are alot av yurts here in our woods, my brother searching one for himself
And it’s realy expensive house for low price with no neighbours.

Our winter is not so bad that people saying, i can agree that this winter was cold but not all the time.. i don’t know what happend to our snow, it didnt came this year,
but this winter dont matter you ?

The summer here is awesome, but as the other guys say, it can be bad weather. but when its hot you can relax outside your yurt in the quiet landscape ! you plants should have it great outside!

Sweden takes 2-3 years of living in it and getting used to the ‘culture’ before the ‘one more second in this fucking country and Im gonna start shooting people at random’-feeling goes away.
