I need help from as many as can help!
I moved to Sweden 3 years ago from California, with its medical laws and all. I have been huge into studying cannabis sense a young age as my parents are supporters. I truly love this country tho, I really found my place in the world, the people the nature the sunsets, wow! but there is that one thing I know everyone knows what I am talking about!
I think the senseless awful laws regarding cannabis need to be changed. Its disgusting how a group of humans can deny safe relief and not even give any real information or won’t even study it to prove themselves right.
I have a huge background with film production and now for the past few months with my Swedish wife and I have been putting together an outline for a very informing and very great documentary all in Swedish. We want to give this movie out for free all around Sweden we want this to get out to as many people as possible and we will surly make this happen, We are putting it at top priority. I don’t plan to make money from this I just want to see people able to get help when they need it and without getting any fines or criminal look upon them. We will make a big change in Sweden.
We are going to something which has yet to be done and all in a legal way. With this we have the potential to make this interesting to a huge group of people and bring out the emotions and eye opening experiences so clearly it can only help us move forward in this movement.
And as we all know this takes money, I will be producing this with as low costs as I can but a production still takes money. I have a donate button on our website and some info there. Please if you can help any amount will be very much appreciated and useful Its a new site I put up for this documentary so please excuse the plainness of it. We will also need help with many other thing, contacts of Doctors, police, politicians or professors who have some knowledge on cannabis and are pro cannabis. We also need help in the research, Everything I can get on the Swedish history of cannabis from the earliest known records, everything that has happened in research or anything, documents, medical journals everything which has been written or produced in Sweden. And also everything I can find on laws. Also a great help will be afterwords when the production is complete people who can donate blank dvds or burn the movie themselves to a dvd and just give it out to everyone.

Sounds interesting, there is a definite need for a more open look at cannabis in Sweden. Maybe a person coming from a place where the acceptance is much higher can bring fresh air into the discussion around cannabis in Sweden.
What kind of direction are you planning, what kind of content? Having a simple trailer would likely bring in more donations.

I am heading towards a similar system as in California regarding it medical marijuana, minus the glitch of being illegal on a federal level. From anxiety and insomnia to the incredible difference it makes for a cancer or AIDs patients and everything in between which could be helped with this safe alternative. I would like to show that there are studies that are conducted around the world and what they studies show. I want to get some opinions from pro cannabis police (if there are any in Sweden) and doctors and politicians who see the other side. I want to do a brief history, which in itself is ridicules and that alone will get allot of people thinking. And the biggest part I want to show a visual documentation of the effects to people in serious need.I see how much happiness and relief people can get from it in there life and how much of a difference it makes when the pills the give don’t work or cause bad side effects, and the smiles on there faces the feeling you can see like wow after all these years something so simple can, in a way for allot of people, save there lives. and this truly bring tears of happiness to my eyes. And it really makes me think, If I can give my time to help people to be allowed to get those feelings and live, if I help in any way make that change that will bring them that much happiness. Then for others to see and feel those feelings, they only make you want to push forward.
Then it becomes that same question, Why and how can this plant which can do this be illegal? how can people not be allowed this and have to either suffer or be subject to much harsher drugs and Real drugs by those means? there must be something behind it.
People will naturally start to wonder if they are being cheated, they are, and hopefully people will start to talk about it.
and when enough people start to ask that, especially in this country with such a small population, I mean its nothing compared to the city of LA, it wont be long until the change made.

And The trailer thing is a great Idea, the only thing is we have not started filming yet, everything in the past few months has been heavy research. I have tons and tons of documents and medical journals and studies and statistics and we have just been going over the best way to put that all together in the best way possible. As soon as we get our first shots in we are all about keeping everyone updated!

i dont think you will find so much nformation about cannabis in Swedens history since its illegal to have drugs in the urine, so people who smoke is really underground in Sweden.
It was one documentary at SVT the swedish television station about cannabis, i dont think many people know about that documentary still.
Aint much doctors in Sweden who knows about cannabis as medecine but there is a few and I have read that everyone has the right to get the information what doctors have given out cannabis-medecine-recomendations.
I think you can find that information at Lakemedelsverket.se, try writing them a mail about it and you will probably get in contact with swedish doctors who knows cannabis-medecines.
I support you in this movieproject, I will defenetily spread this movie.

Anyway, I support you 100%, if I can do anything to support the creation of your movie just let me know, I have been waiting to see a real swedish movie about this since 10 years back when I heard some swedes who was doing a documentary, I dont know what happen to that movie tho maybe the directors got sabotaged by christian fanatics who think gods creation cannabis is evil and bad. In sweden its the christian-partie who is against cannabis.

I was just thinking about that town in U.S. who have alot of swedish inhabitants, cant remeber what town it is tho. Might be possible to find a doctor there who speaks swedish and knows cannabis as medecine.
I just doubt swedish doctors would dare to accept being interviewd about cannabis as medecine..
But hey, lets try it, tryin is not illegal.. yet.. but I guess they working on makin that illegal, some years ago it was talk about makin pictures of marijuana illegal just lite swastikas and something else I cant remember. But it was kind of scary to read it.

Next week I will go to film basen and work on getting some extra funding to aid in quickly making this documentary before telling the truth is illegal, what non sense that would be. was there every any propaganda films against pot in Sweden, like in america we have all those alliance for a drug free america stupid commercials, is there anything like that here? old or new.
Also Does anyone know anyone or is related to anyone who has MS who is a cancer patient and going through chemo right now, any Parkinson’s or seizure patients please PM me any contacts or we can talk through email or what ever, I would love to have a talk with them if its not to much trouble, I am in the stockholm area.

I have not seen any propaganda films against specifically cannabis but against drugs in general. But a classic anti-cannabis propaganda is haschboken “the hasch book” published by Socialstyrelsen, full of scare propaganda, I think you can borrow it at the library.
