Hi! I Hope you like living in Sweden! I can not see why you should write only in this forum ’cause most of us swedes understand and speak decent english. We may however misspell words and spell “color” as “colour”.

Glad you found us, EU’s best forum. But our rules are important so remember them and never talk about buying or selling. I just wanted to point that out…

A shortcut to writing in Swedish is to use Google Translate. It won’t be 100% accurate (in some cases probably not even 80%) but it should be close enough…

I’ve tried Google Translate a few times. I can’t tell what’s wrong of course, but my girlfriend usually end up in hysterical laughter

But maybe I could put something like (but translated to Swedish) this in my signature:

“Sorry that I’m posting in English. I can read Swedish, so there is no need to reply in English, and I can try to explain myself in Swedish if necessary.”?

And yes, I think such a signature would be good to use, atleast the first month until everyone knows who “the dude who writes in English” is.

Eftersom du förstår Svenska och förstår reglerna så ser jag inga problem med att du postar på engelska i den svenskspråkiga delen. Som många skriver ovan så är engelska inte ett problem för majoriteten. Det segment svenskar som kan ha problem med engelskan är dessutom underrepresenterade på forumet (de som fick sin språkundervisning före WWII).
